HR Manager

The HR Manager will deliver the business HR strategy across two site - one North East-based, one Scotland-based, as well as providing operational support on all people-related matters in line with business priorities and objectives.The HR Manager will work as part of the wider HR team to drive an efficient operational service to the business, which is aligned with the overall HR vision and in support of local People plans.Client DetailsMy client is a leading Logistics business based in Tyne & Wear.DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Provide ongoing support to the delivery of people activities across assigned business areas whilst working with key managers to plan people-related initiativesWork in partnership with the senior managers across assigned business areas to support the development and delivery of people and training plansDeliver a seamless and efficient operational service to the business specifically in relation to recruitment, training, and rewardSupport managers in the planning and implementation of business change and organisation restructures, including TUPE and redundancyProvide an advisory service to the business on ER casework, mainly complex cases and potential dismissalsEnsure the fair application of HR policies and procedures including disciplinary, grievance absence management, performance management and reward/ recognitionProvide guidance and advice to managers and supervisorsSupport and implement efficient attraction, recruitment and selection activitiesWork with managers to identify learning needs and provide coaching support and solutionsDrive talent and succession planning initiatives across assigned business areasDeliver skills-based workshops for managers on people related processes such as disciplinary and absence managementFacilitate new starter induction programmes across assigned business areas to support retention and onboarding initiativesEnsure that relevant HR forms are completed and submitted in a timely and accurate mannerCoordinate HR projects across all business areasProfileA degree or qualification in Human Resources Management e.g. CIPDSolid generalist experience in HRPrevious experience working in Manufacturing, Logistics or a fast-paced Retail environmentPrevious experience in a HR Manager roleFlexible and willing to travel between the 2 sites in the North East and ScotlandFull driving licence and access to a vehicleHands on experience of HR policies and ER processesUp-to-date knowledge of employee legislationExperience of driving HR initiatives in a fast-paced environmentStrong leadership and influencing capabilitiesStrong communication skillsExcellent organisational skillsJob OfferSalary £55,000 per annum, plus 5% company bonusFull-time and permanent position
