Title: Process Technologist - Microbial FermentationLocation: North EastEmployment Type: PermanentSalary: £25,000 - £32,000 We are looking a Process Technologist to join a highly innovative organisation tasked with bringing the UK at the forefront of innovation across a wide range of scientific sectors including biotech, agri-tech, pharma, and biopharma. Joining a busy team, the main responsibility for the Process Scientist will be supporting the smooth and successful transfer of operational processes from customer sites and laboratories into the larger scale pilot fermentation facilities. The main duties and responsibilities will include:Act as the primary technical contact and decision point within the pilot plant for the operations and bioprocess development teams.Conduct a range of problem-solving activities on projects, ranging from development stage to pilot stage maturity.Communicate and work effectively with different members of the project team, including project managers, technical development team members, engineers, and the operations team.To deliver presentations and provide reports/articles for a targeted range of audiences. The successful Process Technologist will be educated to at least a BSc/MSc level and will must have experience working with microbes (i.e., yeast, bacteria, etc) and will have knowledge and/or experience of the fermentation process. The successful candidate will also be confident, strong-willed, decisive, and must work well within a team. Interested?
